Walter Clarence George, Sr.

Walter Clarence George, Sr., 58, of Elderton, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center in Beaver, PA.

He was born September 7, 1966 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Raymond Leroy, Sr. and Dorothy Louise (Reefer) George.

Walter worked for many years at Fleming Christmas Tree Farm and was also employed by a roofing contractor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, lifting weights and playing guitar. Walter was an avid collector, and proudly displayed his eagle statues. He also enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and listening to country music.

He is survived by his sons, Walter C. George, Jr., and John George; step-daughters, Amanda Hoffman and Jennifer Hoffman; brothers, Raymond Leroy George, Jr. and Jeffrey Allen George; sisters, Lori Ann Drylie and husband, Jim, Crystal Lynn George, Susan Jayne Stalnecker and husband, Martin, and Esther Porter; and grandchildren, Joseph, Timberly, and Jocelyn George, Laelah and Wyatt George, Josh and Colton Magee, Kaitlyn Walkowiak, Jason, Brittany, and Curtis Arner, and Madison Shedlock.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Christine George; and his step-son, Tim Hoffman.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Marcus John.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, PA.
