Margaret A. "Marge" Aupke

Margaret A. "Marge" Aupke, 100, of Sarver, PA, formerly of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at Quality Life Services Sarver.

She was born on November 10th, 1924 in Hawk Run, PA, the daughter of George P. and Susan E. (Coval) Sotak.

She graduated from Cowanshannock High School in 1941 and St. Francis School of Nursing in 1947. Marge grew up in Yatesboro, PA and lived in Kittanning, PA for most of her adult life. She enjoyed married life for 54 years with her best friend, William O. "Bill" Aupke, whom she married on June 13th, 1959. She worked as a Registered Nurse with PPG Industries. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington. She loved spending time with her family and helped mightily in caring for her granddaughter who is disabled.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Margaret A. "Peggy" Aupke of Fox Chapel, granddaughters Willow Pauline Aupke and Margaret Anna Aupke, along with many nieces and nephews.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers, George, William, Leonard, and Robert; her husband William O. "Bill" Aupke, on January 21st, 2014; and stillborn son, William O. Aupke Jr, on July 7th, 1960.

A visitation followed by services will be held from 12-1pm on Monday, February 3rd, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Marge's honor to Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington, 136 West Main St., Worthington, PA 16262.
