Chester A. Chesnutt

Chester A. Chesnutt, 83, of Templeton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Chester was born on Jan. 24, 1942 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Carl Henry and Leona M. (Forringer) Chesnutt.

Chester worked as a coal miner with Carpentertown Coal and Coke. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt biking, riding his bicycle and golf cart rides with his dog, Goliath.

His memory will be cherished by his son, Joseph Chesnutt and wife, Sharon of Templeton; grandchildren, Chet Chesnutt and wife, Cassie, Ariane Angert, Bethany Kovatch and husband, Justin, and Shane Chesnutt and wife, Racheal; great-grandchildren, Joey Chesnutt, Flynn Chesnutt, Raylen and Dexter Angert, Adyson Schwartz and Kallie and Camilla Kovatch, and his sister, Myrna Contral of Erie, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Evelyn E. (Haye) Chesnutt, whom he married on Dec. 30, 1960 and who passed away on Sept. 25, 2019; an infant daughter, Amy Sue Chesnutt; and his brothers, Tom Chesnutt and Dave Chesnutt.

Services will be private.
