Sandra Lynn "Sandy" Learn

Sandy Lynn (Lawton) Learn, 70, of Shelocta, PA, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1955, Indiana, PA; the daughter of Delores "Gayle" (McIntire) and Donald E. Lawton, Sr.

Sandy was a lifelong resident of the Shelocta area and a 1972 graduate of Indiana High School. She formerly worked at Schall's Restaurant and had also been employed at Robertshaw and Sandy Kay's. Sandy found joy in collecting salt and pepper shakers and treasured her growing collection of recipe books. A gifted quilter and seamstress, she also loved decorating cakes and painting the many crafts she created with care and creativity.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Learn, whom she married on April 1, 1988; her sisters, Sharen (Doug) Todd, Cindy (Mike) Schall, Tammie Lawton, and Tonya (Ed) Gamble; mother-in-law, Regina Learn; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; Chloe Kimmel; her sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald E. Lawton, Jr; and father-in-law, Wayne Learn.

Sandy will forever be in our hearts. She was blessed with the care from her devoted husband, Mike, many special caregivers; and Hospice.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main St., Elderton, PA with Pastor Stephen Rearick officiating.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, Pa.
