Meda Belle McKinney

Meda Belle McKinney passed away on November 1, 2024.

She was born on November 4, 1938 to Ralph and Geraldine Wilson McKinney.

Meda Belle graduated from Union Joint in 1956 and began her banking career before she was 18. She worked for First Seneca Bank as a teller, bookkeeper, and then became manager of the Sligo office. She was the first woman bank manager in PA. She was a kind and generous person. Many will remember her as helping them get their first home or their first car. Meda Belle loved giving Christmas presents and traveling, especially to Arizona. She also loved animals…dogs, cats, and horses. She took in every stray dropped off at her farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her only sibling, LeRoy (Roy) McKinney.

We can all remember Meda Belle and her beautiful clothes, jewelry, never out of place hair do, aqua Cadillac car, and her fancy hand writing. She was one of a kind.
