Theodore Edward "Ted" Reed

Theodore Edward "Ted" Reed, 81, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

He was born on Oct. 21, 1942 in Derry, PA, the son of and Esther Elizabeth (Clawson) and John E. Reed, Jr.

Ted is survived by his sister Helen Cicero of Bettendorf, IA and the mother of his children and wife of 38 years, Patricia (Reed) Anthony.

He was the caring dad of two sons, Keith and wife Dawn of Kittanning and Kevin and wife Amanda of Homer City; grandfather to Cody and wife Ashley, Kirstin, Skyler, John and Luke; and great-grandfather to McKenzie.

Ted exemplified being young at heart. He enjoyed making others laugh and being silly. Everyone who knew him fell for one of his gags at some point. Ted was an avid negotiator and walked away with many "deals", which made him proud. Bluegrass music would always get his foot tapping and a smile on his face. Camping was another way he found enjoyment. We can't miss the opportunity to mention his best friend Ozzie, his German Shepherd. They put on many miles together.

Ted served proudly in the Army National Guard and retired from Penn Dot where he served as a surveyor.

Family and friends will be received from 2 PM until the time of services at 4 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Clark Chapel of Bauer Funeral Home, Inc. of 238 South Main Street, Elderton, PA with Rev. Drew Gordon officiating.

Interment will be in Coles Cemetery in Derry, PA.
