Jim Patterson, 79, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Armstrong Memorial Hospital in Kittanning, PA.

He was born on May 9, 1944 in New Kensington, PA; the son of Harry S. Patterson and Mary (Harvey) Wisniewski

Jim was a 1962 graduate of Laura Lamar High School and a member of the Dayton Global Methodist Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict as an aircraft mechanic. Jim worked on the family farm in his younger years and was a lifelong truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and coaching Little League. He loved watching Western's, spending time with his grandchildren and his hot rods; he had two GTO's and a Chevelle.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Bernice E. (Goodheart) Patterson, whom he married on March 11, 1967; his sons, Kevin Patterson and wife, Sheri of Dayton and Keith Patterson and wife, Theresa of Broadway, VA; daughter, Stacy Hilliard and husband, Rob of Dayton; and a sister, Stella Watts of NC.

Jim will also be missed by his grandchildren, Sierra, Caden, Madison, Evan, Paige and Emma; his great-grandchildren, Myles, Maddy, Eden and Jackson on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, H. Albert Patterson; a sister, Cathy Holtgraver; and his dogs, Kailee, Maci, and Dixie

Family and friends will be received from 1 PM until the time of the memorial service at 3 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Dayton Global Methodist Church, 105 E Church Ave, Dayton, PA with Rev. Barry Ritenour officiating.
