Peter Nowicki

Peter Nowicki, 74, of Kittanning, PA passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024 at ACMH in Kittanning, PA.

He was born on July 23, 1949 in Binghamton, NY; the son of Dr. Theodore and Elizabeth (Wilcox) Nowicki.

In 1971, Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion and American History at Dickinson College. He graduated in 1973 from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Divinity/Theology. He studied Master of Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and graduated Syracuse University Class of 1977 with a Master of Social Work in Mental Health Administration. Peter was employed as a mental health administrator for MHMR in Williamsport for ten years. He currently was employed as an associate with Wal-Mart in Kittanning.

Peter was involved in scouting and was a Boy Scout Master in NY. He was a member of AA after 29 years of sobriety. He was articulate, a self-taught guitarist and loved to cook. Peter was a proud parent, loving husband, a Civil War buff and his recently hobby was building model rockets. He was looking forward to traveling.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Karen (Lukas) Nowicki, whom he married on June 28, 2014; his sons, Dr. T. Scott Nowicki of Los Angeles, CA and Robert Nowicki and wife, Yaduo Yu of Silver Spring, MD; daughter, Sarah Wulf and husband, Matthew of Boston, MA; three grandchildren and one granddaughter on the way.

Peter is also survived by his brothers, Stephen Nowicki and wife, Sue and Matthew Nowicki and wife, Anne.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Phillip Nowicki.

Friends and family will be received 2 PM until the time of the memorial service at 4 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA with George Lukas officiating.
