Eleanor G. Trudgen
Eleanor G. Trudgen, age 91, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Kittanning, died, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Hospice.
She was born February 12, 1919, in Rayburn Twp., Armstrong Co., PA, the daughter of James H. and Florence I. (Clever) Berline.
Mrs. Trudgen was a former member of the Free Methodist Church and a 1937 graduate of Kittanning High School. She had worked as a secretary for the Armstrong County School District for 25 years until her retirement in 1982. Eleanor also was a former tax collector and a school director for Rayburn Twp.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Dr. William D. Trudgen and wife Carolyn of Winter Haven, FL; a grandson, Steffen Trudgen; four granddaughters, Suzette Castellanos, Claire Daniel, Julie Daniel, and Katherine Daniel; three great-grandchildren, Cyrus, Nathaniel, and Mekayla; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Trudgen with whom she shared 46 years of marriage; a daughter, Karen Daniel; and two brothers, Edgar Berline and Robert C. Berline.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, July, 31, 2010 at the Free Methodist Church, 2339 Freeport Road, Kittanning, from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM with the Rev. Mel McRoberts officiating.
Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, E. Franklin Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
