Gaile E. Gourley
Gaile E. Gourley, age 79, of Worthington, PA, died, Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born January 14, 1931, in New Kensington, PA, the daughter of Torrance and Mildred (Rubright) McKeever.
Gaile graduated from Ken High in 1948. On August 16, 1952 she married the love of her life, Dale B. Gourley. They made their home in Lower Burrell where they raised their two daughters Darla and Dawna. A devout Christian, Gaile was a member of the Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church where she took part in the Women’s Fellowship and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class and enjoyed the many church social functions in which she participated. Gaile was an excellent cook and had a passion for needlepoint and flower gardening. It was as a wife, mother and grandmother that she found her true calling, devoting herself wholly to her family. Her generosity, selflessness and unflagging support will be missed. Her love, expressed in words, in food and in time, will be irreplaceable. Gaile was a lovely, calm, beautiful Christian wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Dale B. Gourley with whom she shared 58 years of marriage; two daughters, Darla Black and husband Alan of Worthington, and Dawna Seibel and husband Timothy of Williamsburg, VA; two grandchildren, Renee King of North Carolina, and Derek Seibel of Virginia; and a brother, Raymond McKeever and wife Mary Ann of Lower Burrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Torrence Eugene McKeever.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
Additional visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church, 1006 Butler Road, Kittanning, from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM with the Rev. Steven L. Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, E. Franklin Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
