Marcella E. Minarcin

Marcella E. Minarcin, 88, of Kittanning, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 12, 1927, in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of Bernard and Alice (Bentley) Gowetski.

Mrs. Minarcin was a lifelong resident of the Kittanning area and was a member of the St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. After graduating from Kittanning High School in 1945, she worked at the Kittanning Hospital in the payroll department. She then worked for the West Kittanning Lumber Company and had retired in 2008 as a secretary from Clay-Wood Lumber Company in West Kittanning. Marcella enjoyed gathering every month with her high school classmates for lunch. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Marcella will best be remembered as a generous person who always cared for others before herself.

She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Tim Minarcin and wife, Debra of Kittanning, and Mike Minarcin of Eldersburg, MD; two daughters, Alice Rizzo and fiancée, Brad Gosser of Greenville, and Cindy Lorenz and husband, Dave of Templeton; eight grandchildren, Alana Rizzo, Adam Rizzo, Michelle Minarcin, Matt Minarcin, Megan Minarcin, Christopher Minarcin, Mackenzie Minarcin, and Lexi Lorenz; and a brother, Richard Gowetski and wife, Marilyn of Gaithersburg, MD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Raymond Gowetski, Ralph Gowetski, and Lawrence "Larry" Gowetski; and also preceded by Arthur Minarcin.

Relatives and friends may visit from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning,

A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, 348 N Water St., Kittanning, PA, with the Reverend Douglas E. Dorula officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
