Alvin Ernest "Bud" Weckerly, 74, of Bruin, PA, passed away Thursday, July 9 2015, at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

He was born September 8, 1940 in Parker, PA, the son of J. Dean and Hannah (Feicht) Weckerly.

Bud was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from FT-KC High School in 1958. He was self-employed as a third-generation bricklayer and stone mason with Weckerly Construction, retiring in 1999. Bud honorably served in the US Army Reserves for six years and belonged to the Parker City-Allegheny Valley #521 Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed the annual fishing trips he took to Canada each year with family and friends, and also liked hunting, bowling and playing poker.

He will be remembered with love by his wife, Susan (Bigley) Weckerly, whom he married October 23, 1987; sons, Patrick Weckerly, of Mentor, OH, Gregory Weckerly and wife, Lisa, of Bruin, and Jarrod Weckerly and partner, Ryan Miller, of Cranberry Twp.; daughters, Teresa Mackrell and husband, Kent, of Chicora, and Melinda Farrington and husband, Jamie, of Parker; step-son, Ray Heginbotham, of Karns City, and step-daughter, Amy Furey and husband, Paul, of Fenelton; grandsons, Aaron, Nathan and Jacob Weckerly, of Bruin, and Stephen Barnhart, of Fenelton; granddaughters, Abigail MacKrell, of Chicora, Hannah and Aletha Farrington, of Parker, and Courtney Barnhart, of Fenelton; and numerous nieces and nephews

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Conto and Deanna Christy; and nephew, Dean Christy.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 102 Argyle Street, Petrolia, PA, where a Masonic Service presented by Parker City-Allegheny Valley #521 will take place at 6:45 PM.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Barger officiating.

Burial will be in Perryville Cemetery, Parker, PA.
