Charles W. Ellermeyer, 84, of Kittanning, PA, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born September 8, 1930, in Kittanning, the son of James W. and Mildred (McGrath) Ellermeyer.

Charles was a graduate of Kittanning High School and St. Vincent College. He was a tax accountant for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and served in US Army during the Korean War. Charles was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his children, Kathleen Blakley and husband, Ben, of DuBois, Dr. Charles R. Ellermeyer and wife, Therese, of Webster, NY, Colleen "Connie" Dodd and husband, Eric, of Greenville, SC, Robert Ellermeyer, of Philadelphia, Carol Hartmann and husband, Bob, of Pompano Beach, FL, Michael Ellermeyer and wife, Lynn, of Ashland, VA, and Susan Williams, of Pittsburgh; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Ellermeyer, of Kittanning; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Genevieve E. "Jenny" (Kotyk) Ellermeyer; brothers, James, Thomas, Gerald and Edward Ellermeyer; and sisters, Rosemary Waters and Doris Krizmanich.

Per Charles' wishes, there will be no visitation.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 101 W. High Street, Kittanning, with Father Alan W. Grote as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kittanning, PA, where military honors will be presented by the American Legion Honor Guard.
