Ernest Junior Rupert, 85, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born January 15, 1929 in New Kensington, PA to Ernest and Ethel R. (Denny) Rupert

Ernest honorably served in the US Navy during World War II and after returning home worked for Eljer Manufacturing for more than 40 years. He was a member Grace Brethren Church in West Kittanning. Ernest loved square dancing and ballroom dancing with his wife, Vivian.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Jean (Wolfe) Rupert; sons, Timothy R. Rupert and wife, Deborah, of Mansfield, OH, and Randall L. Rupert and wife, Martha, of Punxsutawney; grandsons, Zachary R. Rupert and Cory J. Rupert; granddaughters, Kirby L. Votodian and husband, Robert, and Kaci L. Rupert; step grandchildren, Augusta and John; great-grandchildren, Blayne and Brantley; and sister, Cherie A. Johnson, of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert J. Rupert; and sister, Leah June Weight.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of funeral services at 12 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Edwards officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Armstrong County American Legion Honor Guard following the service.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
